Janessa Slatky earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Utah State University.
 Specializing in eating disorders, she went on to complete her Dietetic Internship at the Center for Change Eating Disorder residential treatment facility in Orem, Utah.
 Since relocating to Austin, Texas, Janessa has worked extensively with those suffering from eating disorders in both inpatient, and outpatient settings.
 Janessa has developed weekly support groups for the community and coordinated Austin’s first-ever annual National Eating Disorder Association Walk in 2010.
 In addition to writing several published nutrition articles, Janessa is a contributing writer for Dell Children’s Hospital’s policies and procedures for children medically hospitalized with eating disorders.
